Catherine Daly

Organza

An early type of harmony
used for veils to shield her
flesh from martial music,
marital melodies, the sun.
A strict structure fluttering
at her neck, a bit
of not fluff but flim-flam,
her voice twisting in the breeze.

Catherine Daly is the author of two books, DaDaDa (Salt Publishing, 2003) and Locket (Tupelo Press, 2004).
