Long Kiss Goodnight

Every night she kisses
me twice, as though she
thinks that between the
first and second kiss,
I might disappear like
her absent mother whom
she still worships more
than all her sisters do.

Gwen A. Jadwin is a mother to a beautiful two-year old. She received an MA in English with a certification in Creative Writing (poetry) from Binghamton University.
